Yea I know, I like livin on the edge nuthin a little valium can't take care of. Sorry that was not my garage in the photos. It was Ultimate Sound next door to where I work.
The first day of the tear out I walked over to see how it was going, my installer was buried deep inside an gave me this look and said this is a bit*****h. I then got real nervous. He did an pretty good job, he broke the brake light switch on the brake pedal when he dropped the steering colunm. He admitted the oops and they are replacing the switch next week. He also did not fit the piece around the center brake light properly so at night when i hit the brakes I see lots of red light all over my back window.
No worries, it all can be fixed. HHHMMMMMM lets see what I can have ripped apart next.

Is there anything left to rip apart? Looks like it was all done already... unless you just want to count how many parts and screws actually make up our TLs...

Bet you wont...

Be honest....how many parts were left over? How many of those can you identify.

You are a bigger man than me. I am paranoid removing my gas cap.

It would be interesting though, having disected a TL, any interesting assembly points, advice you would acknowledge Honda for? ...criticize for?

Everything works perfect with the Nav. I was always taking my toys apart when I was a kid. I guess I never grew up. One rattle on the right side of the dash. Will eliminate next week when I have time.

Shutter...went through that last month with my OEM navi conversion. It was WAY easier to just pull the dash (thanks to the service manual) to install the OEM harness.

Did he damage the metal silver strips on each side of the console, or did they make it out of the autopsy ok? <JK> Those little f**kers are a real PITA.

Do you have after pics?

The center console trim strips survived with out a scratch. He broke the brake light switch on the pedal when he dropped the steering column/dash, the center brake light has a gap between the window and light so at night is see lots of red light spilling out on the window and deck, a big rattle on the right side of the dash somewhere around the vent area. These are small items and the shop said they would fix on Friday. I will post pics this weekend of the final install.

O...dan...I hope you were able to put them back together. You really don't need to use the facotry harness since the existing one has most of the connections. You just need to make the harness on the navi module to the navi screen, radio, hvac display, HFL module and connect few more extra wires.
