Easier fix for V710 HFL lockup?

I know I've read that some have experienced (as did I today during my first day with the 710) HFL lockups with the phone. In my case it occurred (and tell me if I'm not supposed to do this) when the phone was in the HFL mode after being paired and after having made several successful phone calls. At that point I turned OFF the bluetooth mode from the V710 to see if I could then make a "private" call from the phone itself. The TL did NOT like that! It went into HFL lockup mode, displaying "no information" and wouldn't give me back my radio! I tried restarting the car....still in lockup. I then simply deleted the paired 710 from the TL's HFL system. That worked and restored the system to normal.

That should be easier then unhooking the TL's battery and hoping you don't need to enter the radio code. Of course it does require you to repair the 710, but once you've done it, it takes about a minute or two.

So, the question is, once you've placed a HFL call in the TL with the V710, are you then unable to turn the bluetooth off temporarily to make a private call while driving. Obviously you could do that if you turned the car off, THEN turned the bluetooth on the V710 off and then restarted the car. But what if you want to do that while driving? Can it be done without causing a lockup?

Oh, I do agree with those that find the volume of the phone itself too low....I just don't know why Motorola didn't make the thing louder. Very strange.

Ken,

Why do not you transfer the call? Make a call from TL HFL and then once connected, press CALL button and say TRANSFER and the call will be private on your phone. Am I missing something? Is this what you want to do?

Thanks joganjani, that is what I wanted to do, but I was also trying to find out if while the system is HFL connected, does turning off bluetooth at the phone cause a lockup. In my case it did but I'm not sure if that was a fluke or something you could "count on" every time.
