Question DVD navi update

Does anyone know when the new version of the DVD maps are supposed to be out. I have a 04MDX, and just bought an 05TL and neither have my street on them! I thought that new car would have an updated DVD but it doesn't. Also has anyone tried to copy one? Does it work?

Thumbs down uh oh

I just read another thread, It looks like the MDX nav and the TL nav work off different versions of software, joy.

I have a brand new TL, and my street isn't on the DVD either, and we've lived here for two years! I haven't been able to figure out how to get the navigation system to give directions to my house when I tell it to "Go Home." Any suggestions?

find your GPS position on your Navi. Save it as on your User 1. And save that as Go Home.

Exclamation

There is no way new Navi DVD would cover each inch of map in US. If you get 05TL, you prolly already receive the "newest" Navi DVD. The early 05TL has 3.40 A version. The current 05TL may have A, or B, or C, or D. Based on the past experiences, they may be very similar to each other.

3.40A and 3.40C have very little change. Few more numbers. Next version will have some major chages.

Thanks so much for the help - I'll give it a try. It seems that there's a lot to learn all at once with this navigation stuff! Now I have a question about the audio system: Does the system save the XM radio presets for each of the two drivers? When my husband used his key fob to unlock the door, all of my XM presets were wiped out and he got the "preview" channel. Is this normal?

Btw, you may go to their website (Navi DVD) and submit those corrections to the company. This may help them to identify and map those areas faster. (I don't remember the site though)
