I went out and bought the Rush - Chronicles DVD-A to try our on my new TL. When I insert it into the player, the upper display blinks the word "format" and then the player spits the disk out. What gives? The car plays the Acura demo DVD fine. Thanks.

 

Are you sure it's not a DVD-V?? I am unfamiliar with that title in DVD-A.

I bought it from the Best Buy audio section.

 

That one isn't even remixed to 5.1 sound, so you're better off with the CDs.

Sorry, but unless it has the DVD-Audio logo on it, and (when you put it in a computer) a Audio_TS folder that is not empty, it is not a DVD-Audio title, no matter where you bought it.

This title is released by Universal and a check of their release list shows no Rush titles at all currently released in DVD-Audio format.

mine spits out a dvd-r i made saying dvd-a disc with disc blinking. I can't figure out what i'm doing wrong here.

 

Nevermind guys, looks like i fixed it by switching the bitrate to 16bit and burning it as an ISO! These sound fantastic in the TL! Thanks for your help.
