DVD Audio Question

I finally got hold of a DVD Audio disc. It says it plays in Advanced Resolution Surround Sound and Advanced Resolution Stereo. When I play it in my TL it doesn't say which way it is playing. Is there a default setting? Is the surround sound 5.1? It doesn't say so on the disc.

BTW, the disc is Steely Dan Gaucho, 2004 MCA B0001767-19.

Thanks!

99% sure the default group (group 1) will be 5.1 surround.

I found this for the Gaucho DVD-A at http://consumers.umusic.com/dvda/releases.html

DISC CONTENT /PLAYBACK ON
Advanced Resolution Surround Sound (96kHz/24-bit)/DVD-Audio Players
Advanced Resolution Stereo (96kHz/24-bit)/DVD-Audio Players
Dolby Digital Surround Sound/DVD-Video Players
Lyrics/Photo Gallery/Catalog/DVD Audio/Video Players

So my guess is that
DVD-A group 1 is 5.1 MLP suround sound
DVD-A group 2 is 2.0 MLP surround sound

Plus there is standard DVD-V content (video_ts) that will play on most likely as Dolby Digital 5.1 on your HT DVD player.
