Question DVD-Audio - Q about DVD-A's & groups

Anyone know if there is a command that we could embed on our DVDs to tell the DVD player to jump to the next group and resume playing whatever is recorded there ?

Being able to link the groups would be a great benefit.

Press and hold SCAN and REPEAT buttons, wait for the confirmation beep and it will switch between group layers. Found this one out yesterday. It's not documented in the manual at all unfortunately.

I'm betting that's a firmware thing in the player and that a disk level software command ain't gonna do it.

The rest of us "pedestrians" who still use single layer disks can still get good disc usage (space used per disc capacity) from one group.

(triggle, I'm kidding.... I just had to show some props to a DL burnin man!)

Big'un...This forum is filled with great information. I just bought a Seal DVD-A with both original tracks and acoustic tracks. At first, I could not find (via the manual) how to access the acoustic tracks. However, your input re: changing groups gave me the answer. Thanks a bunch! Without this forum, I would still probably be banging my head as I tried to play the group 2 tracks.

Ola moderators!! Would anyone consider adding this to the FAQ sticky for the Audio, Bluetooth etc. forum, it may not seem like a big thread but unless you're aware of group layers on DVD-As, it's not easy to search for in the threads.

Cheers! SF
