did anybody buy dvd audio at amazon.com like REM's Monster and Eagles Hotel CAlifornia...do they work 'coz i saw few customers wrote reviews that the Beethovens dont..pls give some input

 

I don't have either of those but I do have the REM "Best Of..." DVD-A and yes it works fine.. Monster looks like the same thing as does Hotel California, I would guess you are safe with the DVD Audio versions of them in the TL...

Tower Records www.towerrecords.com also has a pretty good selection.

 

The DVD-A for Brothers in Arms (Dire Straits) is very good. I havent tried any of the others.

 

The Eagles Hotel California DVD-A is an excellent choice. Works great in the TL. Dire Straights, is another. Both are great Audiophile quality recordings..

Why do they only make oldies cds and crap? No new hip-hop cds, etc. in DVD-A ?!?!?

 

The truth is that the youth of today would rather download their music in MP3 format than go to a store and buy a disc. At least, that's how the "record companies" see it.

In a few years, there won't be many things available on disc based media anyway.
