Droid 2 and the HFL?
Okay, I've searched the board, I've searched through Google, I've gone to Handsfreelink.com and searched as well and none of these places have an answer for me - does the new Droid 2 work with the TL HFL?
I'm on Verizon, have a BlackBerry Storm, and am thinking of changing phones to the Droid 2, but the compatibility (or lack thereof) could be a deal killer fore me. Anyone have some insight?

Lastly, if the HFL is a deal breaker for getting a much better phone....you must really like the HFL or don't realize how much of an improvement the Droids are over the BB.

Coming from BB's, Droids, and now picking up the Droid 2 today, you are definitely missing out and getting the most out of your phone by having a berry OP. My Droid1 never gave any problems connecting whereas my Tour would give me trouble at times, I'm going to pair my Droid2 tomorrow and I'll post back with results. I don't see why on earth it will not work, esp if the Droid X is pairable

I got DROID2 the day it came out, HFL works about half the time, but I never got phone book exchange working. I have 05 TL.
When HFL doesn't work (call is routed back to phone, even though phone is paired), I just need to toggle bluetooth from phone or say 'transfer'.

BTW, phone book exchange wasn't available until '07 anyway. That's probably why you can't get yours to work.

I had a bit of trouble with my droid incredible. I found that while the car is searching for your phone, search for the HFL from your phone and that will bring up the screen to enter the pairing code. try that. also in the setting make sure you have 'auto-connect' selected once you finish pairing. long press for this setting.

The droid1 and droid 2 are almost the same phone. Just a few cosmetic changes on the 2, and a new interface instead of stock Android. Oh, and a keyboard that doesn't have that useless D-pad and so it's larger and easier to use.
Point being, the droid works fine with HFL, so the droid 2 shouldn't give you any problems either.

Just an update - I traded in the BlackBerry Storm this evening and walked out of the Verizon Store with a brand new Droid2. I immediately went out to my car in the parking lot and paired with the HFL. No problems; works great.

Droid 2 pairs but does not connect
Am trying to hook up HFL with my new Droid 2 Global. I've gotten it paired, but it says it's not connected and I can find anything to tell me how to connect it. I found some instructions on a Motorola (or maybe it was Droid) website. However, it references all kinds of settings that my Droid doesn't have (e.g, Menu --> Settings --> connection --> Bluetooth Link --> Device History --> Device --EDIT --> Select Automatic) Not only don't I have this setting, I can't find anything anywhere on the phone that allows me to select an "Automatic" setting for Bluetooth. (The others I don't have are: "Answer Options = Multi-Key", and "Auto Handsfree = On". What am I doing wrong?
