DRL Replacement Module Needed

I've had a Hamsar DRL module installed for at least 6 years now and it finally went bad. Hamsar no longer makes nor supports them, so I let my fingers do the walking on the internet. There's only 1 company that still sells them in Oregon, so I ordered one, They sent me a model 70986 whereas the one I've had is a 70987. Paul (our master star mechanic here in Northern NJ) tried to install it today, but could not get it to work. Any suggestions where to go from here?

I assume your mechanic is competent enough to rule out the car as being the problem. Hence the new replacement part.

Paul is more than competent. He's a Honda/Acura EXPERT used by many here in the NY/NJ area and is an Acurazine Vendor.

Took a ton of searching to find about the only place that still sells the Hamsar 70987 module (under the Grote name as model 44270). This is the module used by the Canadian Acura dealers to convert pre-2007 Acuras that moved to Canada as DRL's have been mandatory by law up there for some time.

The Wrench Monkey in Toronto is about the last place you can get one. As these modules are out of production and there's only a little over 200 units left in existence, anyone who wants to put DRL's on their 2004/5/6 TL's or get a replacement to put away if you've already added DRL's had better get on the horns and pick one up. It seems no one in the US sells these anymore. $54.16 + $16.69 shipping.
