Door Speakers

Hey guys. So I drive a third gen TL and just wanted some recommendations as far as front door speakers. Curious as to what speakers are great that will fit into the factory brackets. Also when replacing the speakers in the car do I have to replace the amp? I thought the amp was on,y used by the subwoofer not by the speakers.

As far as door speakers I wanted to go with infinity so I'd be willing to spend up to like 200. But I want something that will provide a lot of punch and be better than the stock speakers but will also fit into the existing brackets.

I think people should be using search button more often, or go to someone's links thread, posts and look what they have done and ask questions there, vs asking the same question over and over again.....

just because you going to upgrade to new speakers, the sound quality wont be any different, there is more to it that will need to be done... I say save your money and get everything done once your ready for it...

Either you could go in to extreme system, or something up-gradable, either way its not about what you buy, its about the install and the tune! just keep that in mind.

I know they are not (high end) but I recently installed a set of jbl p-series in the front doors and they sound amazing for around 150. I have a jl amp pushing 100 watts to them

You need this for your doors, once its all ready to to install the speaker's you will notice big difference, not only road noise from the outside and tires, but how accurate new speakers will play...
