Does the radio not work when you remove the HFL/Bluetooth module?
Battery was going dead, so I removed the battery & charged it real good. I also removed the HFL module. When I reinstalled the battery, the Nav system came on & asked for the code, and booted up.
However, I cannot get the radio to do any thing. Like there is no power.
When I push the radio power button, it reads errer1 up in the center display w/temp, etc.
I never read in all this info about the radio not working with the HFL removed... I've had the battery out before and not had this problem-am I overlooking something simple or will just not work with module out?
Thanks

You gotta put in a separate radio code to activate the radio, if it hasn't prompted you, try unplugging battery again and watch for the prompt.

But the radio should still work without the HFL module, right?
Every other time it has prompted me for the radio code, but not this time.

All good, disconnected, waited about 30 minutes, reconnected & it asked for the radio code this time. Don't know what happened the first time.

I'm glad you got that figured out AlanW. For others who may have struggled with this or who are currently struggling with this...If you disconnect your radio and the "CODE" words come on, you are in a good place. Just enter the radio code and you should be good to go.
However, if after the first time the radio comes back on and you push any buttons (that aren't the radio code digits), the "Errer1" will come on. From there, you cannot enter the radio code. From my experience, you will have to unplug the radio, or disconnect the battery, and then try again. The "CODE" prompt will only come on after the first initial radio turn on signal. If you don't enter the correct code, you will have to disconnect and try again.
My radio serial number and code were located on the left side of my glove box. It was just a simple white sticker with two sets of black digits (One being the serial number and the other being the code).
