does any 3g navigation announce street names?

i want to know which year or dvd version does this, from 04-08. also is there a major different to make the jump from a 04-06 to 07-08 version. i see that the 04 has a very low resolution in the navigation screen and makes the lines withing the navigations map look very low resolution. thank you for your time.

No it doesn't announce, and AFAIK the versions are basically the same with the exceptions of firmware differences. The screen should be exactly the same on all the units, but I believe the earlier versions are able to be "hacked" more easily.

any risk on hacking the system or any benefits that would really make the navigation better? i know about the trip computer and the ac controller, both things i really don't care but anything else other than that?
