Disconnecting XM and AcuraLink
With all the ipod adapters floating around, I was wondering something.
On the 2007 TL's with acuralink, when you disconnect XM so that you can have the text feature, what all does this disable? Im thinking its more than just XM
I would think you lose at least XM Traffic, All acuralink functions (messages from dealer and stuff)
What else is there that is lost? I remember 3 plugs on the XM, is there certain ones that you can disconnect to get rid of the XM Audio, but still get acuralink stuff?

theres only one XM port into the radio, you lose nav traffic and XM radio, thats it. the acura link messages are handled though your bluetooth phone's data plan. You can retain full XM functionality if you get the USA SPEC HON2Y or use the Dice kit without the text function.
