Disc + and Disc - Buttons on Head Unit

I couldnt find anything in the manual or the quick start guide about these functions...

if you hit disc - (which is preset 5), it plays disc #5
if you hit disc + (which is preset 6), it plays disc #6

Was just curious what disc - and disc + did...

Hope this isn't a repost as I searched for disc - and disc + and didn't see anything relevant...Thanks.

I believe they fast forward and rewind the disc that is playing.

The Canadian head unit can accept an external disc changer. In fact, I just bought the adapter that does it. I'm using it to hook up an iPod and external DVD player but it can be used for an external changer. When the head unit is in external disc changer mode, pressing DISC + and DISC - changes discs on that changer. Thing is, only the Canadian head unit can do it because the US head unit has XM which takes up the AUX port, so I don't know why they put DISC + and DISC - on the US head unit. Weird!

That "disc - disc +" issue is listed in GARAGE, too.

Sounds like they basically do nothing on the US units. I always hit the button of the disc I want to play anyway. I still find the most useful feature is the Group changing buttons for DVD-As
