Daylight savings time shift

Wonder how the clock is going to handle the daylight savings time shift this spring. It's been great to have the clock auto adjust for me in the fall and spring. I doubt it knows about the shift in dst this spring. I wonder if they will put an update in newer NAVI software?

Pretty sure it gets the time from the gps system. The government should send out the correct time since they are the ones that changed it. I know it changes when you enter a different time zone.

I saw something in the Navi setup that gives you a choice of automatic dst change. I set mine to auto.

GPS just sends out GMT time and the Navi unit corrects it based on which time zone you're in and if you've selected auto DST or not. The GPS birds don't send special time to each individual user. As far as GPS is concerned they are going to keep sending the same time

I can tell you in the IT world... this dst shift is almost like a small y2k scramble. Lots of projects to correct and verify programs with this new dst time shift.

I doubt the Acura Navi system knows about the new dst schedule
