Dash cam question.

I remember a while back GP recommended a great cam for the value, can anyone chime in for the brand and cost of a good quality dash cam? thanks

Hey there,

Mini 0806 is the dash cam to get.
Been following developmen before it was released.
I havnt picked one up yet since I wanted to wait for any problems to be ironed out.
Reports say the cam is stable now and the problems earlier batches had are fixed.

It's like the OnePlus 2 phone vs iPhone 6 and Galaxy S6 in terms of value and specs.

DOD LS360W Full HD 1080p

You can find one for about 150$, awesome night vision and great video quality in general.

i just bought two sets of these after doing hours and hours of research. you can't beat a 2 channel system (front and rear) with parking mode for $90! i bought a top of the line memory card for 40 and then the battery discharge prevention kit for 35. so for about 165 you're getting 24/7 protection and the camera gets pretty good reviews

https://forum.dashcamtalk.com/thread...-parking.7441/

regardless which camera you go with, make sure you do research on dashcamtalk. there's tons of info and some of the cameras out there are pretty crappy and won't help you when you need footage from something that happened.

i bought the cameras merely for protection, lot of crooked people out there now. i'll put up a thread once i get it all installed in my cars

i have a blackvue dr550gw-2ch, as sockr said, do your research to see which one fits what you want it to do the most. I wanted back and front recording so i went with a 2ch system.

I also liked the way the blackvue looks as far as making it less noticeable when it's mounted. It has not given me any problems. I also have the power magic pro hooked up to constant 12v via add a fuse so if i feel the place im parking is sketch i can leave it on when the car is off.

will do, I did see alot of people record with the Blackbue at night and day and the quality is great, I won't go cheap on the camera however I need clear footage in case something happened.

I'm running this:

Amazon.com: Mobius Action Camera 1080P HD Mini Sports Cam - Wide Angle Edition - C2 Lens: Camera & Photo Amazon.com: Mobius Action Camera 1080P HD Mini Sports Cam - Wide Angle Edition - C2 Lens: Camera & Photo

Hardwired and placed right in front of a Broadway wide mirror, it's pretty hard to spot
