Does any know if there is a way to add custom voice for navigation instead of the one woman/man's voice from the DVD. I take since Acura loads that info from the DVD there might be a way to hack into it and add your own voice some how.

 

I'm not sure, but I doubt it's loaded from the map dvd. You can use the HFL voice without a dvd in the drive.

I wish there was a way (or that I knew the way) to change the boring ringer that plays through the speakers when someone calls in.

I used Tom Tom software on my Treo a few years ago and was able to use various voices, I settled on John Cleese and it was funny as H&&L and just plain fun.

 

Yea, that would be cool if we can load custom ring tones.........

 

I think there is a way to look up the voice files on the DVD and to modify them (just as long as the same file name is used).

 

I would love to be able to do this! I actually was looking around to try and figure out how to do it myself and haven't been able to find anything yet... If anyone figures it out please pm me!

 

If there are stored on the DVD and not with the HFL I am ripping apart that DVD today. I will update you guys if I find anything.
