Hey guys I was bored this weekend and had these two kickers laying around. A few hours and a six pack and I came up with this thing. Only problem is that when I went to my local shop to buy some matching carpet they had these odd colors and non seemed to match. Even went to a fabric store and home depot.

Any suggestions??

I've tried other stores as well. The best place was Walmart in the auto section. They have a roll of carpet available for around $20. The grey carpet was the closest match in color/texture IMO.

 

I usually have to go to at least a couple different fabric stores to find a good match. And not the major chain stores like joann, home depot, ect... I have better luck at the smaller mom & pop type fabric stores. Or go to some other local car audio shops and see what they have or who they recomend in the area. Or find an upolstry shop to ask. It shouldn't be that hard of a color find.

 

Last time i was at BestBuy, i saw some car audio carpet . Bu like said above try some other car audio places or try ebay ! Their are tons on ebay !

 

I don't have any Walmarts near by but I checked online and couldnt find anything. Maybe its one of those items that are in-store only. Will check local fabric stores today to see if I have any luck. Thanks guys will keep this updated. I have seen a few people asking this same question but no solid answers I guess it varies a lot region to region.

 

+ 1 Walmart auto section. Maybe friends/family can mail it to you? SOMEONE has to live near a Walmart. Good luck.

 

Thanks again I guess I will be taking a drive to Walmart this weekend. It's not super far it's that there aren't any in NYC. They're banned from putting any in NYC.
