Converting non-bluetooth phone
Converting non-bluetooth phone
On ebay, it looks like you can use an adaptor to make a non-bluetooth phone (including my Treo 600) compatable with bluetooth. Do you know if that works?
I have a treo 600 and I used Jabras bluetooth conversion kit and the performance was just horrible. I even had it exchanged once to no avail. Very static sound quality and the range was horrendous. Your best bet is to buy a backup phone like a motorola V600 or just wait for the new treo (treo 650, or ACE) which will have bluetooth built in.
Nobody outside PalmOne seems to know yet if the Treo 650/Ace will have a Handsfree Profile (HFP) allowing it to pair with the TL. I've checked the 650/Ace forum at treocentral.com and found lots of speculation but no hard information. I wouldn't pin my hopes on the 650/Ace as being compatible with the TL until there is more information.
Supposedly there's a Jabra A210 coming out that will have HFP. Can anyone confirm this or have more info? I hope so and hopefully has ok performance until dumb Nextel puts a BT phone out there.
