Converting my '06 TL no-Nav to Nav

Hi i am about to replace my stock unit for a navigation unit but before i do this i wanted to no if the screen i purchased on ebay works or not. i hooked up the all the wires but the screen aint coming on. do i need the dvd gsp drive hooked up in the back of it in order for the screen to work? thanks

Questions on converting my TL non-Nav to Nav

Hi i was just wondering if i needed the sub display to get nav or if its optional? i have the screen the drive the disk and the antenna and wires just was wondering if i need the display or not if someone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated thank you

yea you need to hook up the dvd drive in the back(that is the module that controls the screen) along with that you need antenna, dvd disc, wire-harness, back-up camera(might need the module for it). good luck.

thank you, do you no if i also need the sub display or if thats optional? and also does anybody no where i can buy the wiring at? or a diagram how to make it

Need to buy stuff to hoook nav up PLEASE HELP

Hi i was wondering where i could buy the wiring the hook up my nav dvd drive and also the sub display where my time is in my non nav . anybody that might no please help thank you

you should try buying an all in one kit on Ebay its alot easier then trying to get all the parts in at the same time, i think it mite save you abit of money too that's what i just did but make sure you get the same year navi tho i have an 06 TL and i got an 07/08 navi everything works fine but i can't add phone numbers in the navi
