Console jack in '06

Console jack in '06
Just got my '06 and it came with a weird looking jack in the middle console...The jack has a white cover, it is right above the power outlet, don't know what it is there for. Read up somewhere that this is jack is to plug the MP3 player into and it goes directly linked with stock stereo system. Anyone?

Are you sure it isn't the light.......? Turn on the car lights and look at it.......if it is the light find a way to retract the question...
