Confirming DTS audio stream
Does anybody know of a way to confirm that DTS is playing ? i recently picked up the N.E.R.D. dvd-a, which says it is a DTS disc (and PCM 2.0) but the display will just say DVD-A. i thought this was normal until i put in the santana abraxas album, which is DTS as well, and then the display acutally said DTS instead of DVD-A and then top display actually showed DTS on it as well. now I have no idea what audio streams are being played when i put in a DVD-A! when I picked up my car last thursday and asked the sales guy how to confirm that DTS was playing he had no idea what i was talking about and just pointed at the logo on the stereo
if this has already been discussed please just post the link, i took a look first and couldnt find any threads on this. thanks

Abraxas is a DTS encoded CD, that's why your system displayed "DTS" when playing it.
A DVD-A that says DTS on the label has a DTS track in the DVD-Video portion of the disc, but the DVD-Audio portion is either high resolution stereo (LPCM) or high resolution surround sound (Meridian Lossless Packing, or MLP, encoding). Any DVD-A will be displayed as "DVD-A" on the system.
