Commercials on XM?
Anyone notice these? They pop in every so often...I've noticed them alot on XM Comedy 150.
Today alone...
Advertisments for: Flowers, Omega Mortgage Company, Get Rich Quick Book
What gives? What do they mean 100% commercial free?
Don't get me wrong...there is no where near as many as FM, but I didn't think there was supposed to be any? :shakehead

If they say they are 100% commercial free (it says it on channel card I got with my car, on their website, and in their ads) they should be just that - 100% commercial free on ALL their channels. If I want commercials, I will switch to FM!
I am confused!
Thankfully I got the 1 year/$60 deal ... or else I would really be complaining!!! LOL

They don't say 100% commercial-free. They say 100% commecial-free music channels. On their web page, notice the words next to the big "100%" on the front page--it says "100% Commercial-Free MUSIC" (capitalization theirs).
On many of the news channels, such as CNN, they're just carrying the audio feed from the TV broadcast, so if they wanted to go commercial-free, you'd be hearing silence at those points.

Hmmm...you are correct 1995hoo! As long as the music stays commercial free...it's all good!
That's one of the best things they have going for them!

Good point...I do the same thing.

XM is good only if you spend time in your car. I travel back and forth every day to school, and use the car as much as possible. It is great - ever tried listening to FM? Tiny selection, you get lucky with 5 songs in a row, then get demoralized with commericals.
