Cold Temp. and Flickering Navi Screen?

When ever it's cold outside (~40*F or below), my navi screen flickers for a short period of time when it first starts up. Much like when a fluorescent tube before it goes out.

Is this just the nature of a LCD screen? Or is this a defective screen I have?

08 TL-S BTW.

My '08 TL Base has that slight flicker as well. Only have noticed it in the past few days when it's been exceptionally cold out.

I haven't noticed a flicker, but it's definitely dimmer than usual for the first several minutes when it's cold out. But by "cold" I mean below 20°F. (Coldest temperature at which I've started my TL was –8°F in Canada once.) I've never had any issues at around 40°F, which is a fairly routine temperature around here.

My 06 flickers some mornings in the cold when its about -10 in Toronto and stuff, I'm not sure if its the cold, or if its my Blackberry that makes it flicker, I have to look into it - I think sometimes when I'm getting incoming calls it flickers gonna study it

I guess it is somewhat normal for the LCD to flicker in extreme cold until it has warmed a bit. I wouldn't be concerned unless you see a flicker under all circumstances.

Those were my thoughts as well. Hope it doesn't go out after my warranty...
