Clarification for iSimple
Hello,
I have the 2004 Navi TL and am thinking of buying the iSimple. One thing I either passed over or did not read in the many threads is if I already have satellite radio and would like to connect that to iSimple so I can see through navigation , what happens with the Unit for the satellite radio. I was wondering if the iSimple replaces it and that i do not need the screen anymore form the satellite or I keep both. I am also connecting my ipod to it. Thank you in advance.

the isimple lets you keep your sat radio. immediately after you select the xm option, you can turn the right tuning knob to change between "ipod", "aux1", "aux2", and "sat".
there are a few threads in the 3G garage about the isimple. look there for more answers and installation instructions.

So basically I still have to keep the unit for the satellite radio , I can't get rid of it. I want to just control Sat through my Navi screen not from the satellite radio tuner. That is what I was wondering if it is possible to just not have the tuner. Thank you in advance.

What satellite tuner do you have and how do you have it already hooked up? Since you're in Canada, I'm not quite sure how the satellite setup works. If you have one of those portable units that plugs in via an aux input, then you can't get the info on the screen. I think the only way to display through the nav screen is to install some sort of factory style unit.

I have the Sportster 5 from Sirius the reason I asked this is because I would like to only have all the info on the Navi screen and not have any objects sticking out. It is connected through my FM.
