Cellular phone book

Have linked my cell phone to the HFL and it works great. My Cellular Phonebook is grayed out, how can I turn this function on. Would like to import my cell phonebook. Have a Sony and this function can be imported. Reviewed my manual and was no help. 07 TL_Type S
THanks

I have the same problem with my BlackBerry Curve 8310. There is a certain Acura site (I don't remember the site) which gives the exact phone models, and the extent of the compatibility. Some phones won't sync, some phones will link to the HFL but won't import the phonebook to the HFL (as in our cases), and some phones are fully compatible, including the ability to import your cell phone's phonebook to the HFL.

If there is a way, I'd definitely like to figure out how to import my phonebook as well.

The Acura site is not up to date, I have the new Sony Ericsson Z750a which can import the phone book. To do this I would like send to the nav screen. I need to open the cellular phonebook, but my display shows they are grayed out. The manual said this will happen is the HFL is not linked, but mine is linked. So if I can find out how to turn on the celluar phonebook, import will happed.

Right. That's where I'm at as well. So I would like to know how to also. But, although my phone is linked, and I do get the number of the incoming call on my MID, my Cellular Phonebook option is grayed out as well.

I'm waiting for an answer myself.

Thanks

Did you unplug your XM Module for an ipod adapter (Dice, USASpec, etc...)

If so, all HFL stuff on the Navi will gray out (including the "call" button)

Thank you, I did unplug the XM Module and installed Sirius, works great, had to unplug both connectors. Wonder if I could modify and connect only those wires that are needed to remove the gray out. You would think Acura would have not wired this to the XM Module.
Appreciate your reply.

Thanks for all the help, fixed my problem. With the Sirius install and using the Y cable, you should not unplug the XM module in the trunk. I reconnected and I now have my phonebook and the import worked.

Well, if that's the only way, then I guess I'll have to go without importing my phonebook. The reason I unplugged my XM was to have song-text display in the red clock section above the navi screen. Oh well...

Can you explain your wiring connections? A bunch of us with Ipod adapters are unplugging the XM to get text on the screen.

I assume you plugged both plugs back into the XM (only one of them deals with HFL i think)
How is everything plugged into your stereo with the Y cable??
