hi guys,

this might sound dumb, but, since I've always play music on my TL through my iPod, and sometimes listening to radio...

so, there's some CD in my dash player that I barely play them...

today, I've notice that one of the disc while playing was displaying the title of the song and album on my nav screen...

however, some other don't...

is this a feature?

if so, why only displays 1 disc's album name and track list?

If you are playing regular audio cd it must contain Audio Text..otherwise it will read only Track 1, Track 2..etc...

If you are planning an MP3 CD.. the title of each mp3 will show..and if you have ID3 tags (which stores Artist/Album/Title info) it will be displayed.

It is all depends on how a CD is burnt. The radio will display all the info that is available to it.

DVD-A however.. will always only display Track 1, Track 2.. etc...

 

Some DVD Audio discs will display track information, but not many. XM does display track info too.

I notice from all 5 Music CD that I loaded, only 1 display the album name, and track list...

BTW, all are legit Music CD...

The one that's displaying is "A Knight's Tale" soundtrack... I'll keep trying others CD that I have in my collection..

Of course, I'm looking forward to the new device from USA Spec.... Hon3...

And getting a new iPod or iPhone...

I know once with USA Spec, I'll be able to display XM Text, XM Traffic, and control my iPod Album/Track List on my Navi...

My iPod of over 5 years was dying since last summer, and finally stop working a couple weeks ago...
