cant pair iphone 3gs....

i have an 05 TL and an iphone 3GS - pairing not working. All other phones ive had in the last few years have not had a problem- including a 1st gen iphone, blackberry, cingular 8525, etc...

As soon as it says "what name would you like to call this phone", i tell it a name, and then connection drops. The phone does not pair. Heeeelllp!!

i had a 3gs, it took me like 6 tries to get it to pair. The new bluetooth profile on the iphone sucks. I think an update was coming to fix it.
Even after I paired it, it would switch to headset after I answered the phone randomly.

Bsic, I have an '07 Type S and my iPhone paired up immediately-on the first try. I've not had any problem with it since. It even stayed paired with my car better than my Treo.

I don't mean to contradict Kyle, but maybe the '05's are different than the '07's. I know it didn't pair until I highlighted the car on the iPhone and then selected "Pair". Give that a try-if you haven't tried that yet.

Try turning off wi-fi when you first pair.
