I am sitting in the car trying to pair my lg dare. i get all the way to where it wants me to name the phone. i use my name(Tony), and it tells me that my name is too short. but the other names on the list were Roger and Alex. is there some sort of trick when you name your phone?

 

Try using more syllables. HFL needs to be able to distinguish every voice command from every other. The more syllables you use, the better the chance.

Try using "LG Dare" as the name of the phone.

 

tried that. found a thread on the second or third page with the same issue. once you press the hfl to say your name, you have to hit the homelink icon on the dare, press "connect", and then say your name. has worked fine since then. btw, i still used my 2 syllable name.
