Question Can Replacing Navigation screen interfere with XM radio?

2004 TL Navigation Screen cracked & I have gotten a replacement one off eBay.

Can anyone confirm if any of the technology for the XM radio is in this component? If I have to contact XM to get different radio registered it interferes with my $500 "lifetime" subscription. I have read that in the fine print of that agrement, they can limit you to 3 radio changes or may charge you fees to switch service to another device.

Thanks in advance if anyone has knowledge they can share on this topic.

I wish I could just replace the LCD itself and none of the other parts.

Hopefully I can figure out that radio code too.

Hopefully, you got a screen from an '07/8 TL, and the '07/8 Nav DVD drive to go with it !

If you're only replacing the screen, the radio or navi codes will not change. The only times the codes will change is when you swap the actual radio module and the actual navi DVD drive in the back of the car.

I replaced my screen with the same 05 model year and kept the same drive and everything remains the same. FWIW, changing navi drives changes the navi code, but XM still works off the same subscription and it will still remain active.

should have 0 issues! I recommend getting some sticky felt to put under the areas where items touch to ensure there are no squeaks or rattles.
