Can anyone figure out this strange problem?
I had a USA Spec - PA11 HON2 installed in my '06 TL 5sp auto Navi a couple of weeks ago. Pretty well sounds like all the other installations I've read about here, works good but interferes with the XM radio, that's o.k. I can live with that.
Here's the deal, when I open the car with the remote #1 the iPod works as advertised, pauses when engine shut down and starts right up when back in the car. Pauses when switching sources etc.
When I open the car with remote #2 it's a bitch to get the iPod to work. Have to disconnect the iPod, mess around and finally get it to work. If I turn off the car the iPod pauses but when starting up again I have to mess around to get it to work, it will not pause when switching sources and in general is a PIA to use.
I can't figure out why it works well with one remote and not the other??
Any ideas?

Since the adapter mentioned is after-market, it is doubtful Acura installed it.
Sounds like it might be a conflict with the Driver 2 preferences. You might try disassociating remote 2 from the preferred settings (see the back of your remote). Or better yet, open the cr with remote 2, then press the Drive 1 button before turning on the car or starting the IPOD.

For now I've just swapped remotes with my wife so I have #1 and she has #2 since I'm the one who used the iPod and I'm the one that drives when we go on trips.
I just got back from a 800 mile round trip between the S.F. Bay Area and L.A. what a pleasure it was to have the iPod and have it working well. This setup is so much better than the Music Link that I had in the car for the first week after I bought it. The best thing I did was have the Acura dealer take it out and refund my money.
