Can’t listen music on 2007 TL HF link when play on iPhone

Can’t listen music on 2007 TL HF link when play on iPhone
My iPhone and HF link is working fine on 2007 TL but when I try to play music on the iPhone I don’t hear any sound thru the HF link. What am I missing? Or the hand free link is not a really a true Bluetooth.
Note. I have 2011 MDX and I can listen to music via Bluetooth.
