Question Bysin's Navi No-Nag/Image Program?

I downloaded and ran Bysin's latest graphical program. I read about 50 pages of posting to find out that Bysin got busted for some other program. Man that sucks.

So now I still basically have a nag screen... I get a blank screen that only has one button... "Go". How can I finally get rid of this screen and get it to auto start the nav screen?

Thanks.

he never got to that stage :/....

so changing the image and having a 'go' with no text is about as good as it gets.

rasutton, you didn't have to read all 50 pages. That's the reason why I created the summary.

Hack your navigation summarized!

Yep... I read through that first and tried to use it to do my changes. However when I reached the navi-nonag.exe point and didn't have the file nor the know-how to change the navi file I started searching for an answer. I don't beleive you have instructions to change navi or a link to DL a nonag file version.

I found Bysin graphical navi program which takes out the nag screen only to find that it puts the "go" screen in its place. Not much gained IMO... rather have the nag screen actually.

Did I miss something in your write up?

RA,
You can use a Hex Editor and go into navi.exe and modify what your nag screen says...

I use my nag screen as a place to post my favorite quotes...

Right now it says:

"Mmmmm, Donuts.... Is there anything they can't do?"

- H. Simpsosn

Instead of OK or GO, the button says TL.

I aslo changed the "Send" prompt on the Navigation screen to say "Call"... That just makes more sense.

I guess you are right rasutton. The only thing my writeup mentions about the navi-nonag.exe is this:

FOR ADVANCED USERS ONLY
Other files on the Navigation DVD may be modified. The following steps outline how to extract the files from the original DVD.
1. Use the dumpnavi tool to extract the files on the BIN file that was on your car
dumpnavi BNHH401A.BIN extract
2. The files will extract to the directory associated with the name of the file. The splash screen is called "Back.bmp". Other files may be modified as well with decompiler/HEX editor. No further instructions are provided. Do this at your own risk.

3. After modifying the files, use the dumpnavi tool to update them to the BIN, ex:
dumpnavi BNHH401A.BIN update Back.bmp
dumpnavi BNHH401A.BIN update navi.exe navi-nonag.exe
dumpnavi BNHH401A.BIN update Diag.exe
But if you continue down the first page to post #18, lumpydog offers additional insight.

I agree with you that there really isn't an advantage of using the nonag.exe. This is why I've never used it myself. I rather just see the disclaimer and hit ok rather than spend time changing the text to something else.

Thanks for the help bro. I just DLed IDA Pro Demo version to try and disassemble it but it didn't work. So I gave up loaded in the matrix screen image and put the nag screen back to original. Maybe I'll play more later but on to more fun mods for now... PS2, spoiler, USASpec, etc.

Thanks again for the help.

bumping an old thread because I have a similar question and yes, I did use the search function lol.

Basically I have the 3.40c firmware, and was able to successfully update the background (thanks AcuraZine) but would also like to get rid of the nag screen. I followed the directions, and end up with a blank screen with the "GO" button replacing the nag text and "Okay" Button.

Seeing that this thread is OOOLLLLD has there been any updates, I've been searching all day and seem to think that I need the nonag-navi.exe file

Any insight would be greatly appriciated.
