Button in front to turn on back dome lights?

Would it be difficult to add a button/switch that would turn on the back seat dome lights?

See spare "slot" to the right of the mirror button and right/left mirror switch here:

The top console has a button that turns on all dome lights.

That's what I've always wondered. Has anyone used this extra slot for anything else? Any pics?

^ Thats pretty cool and yeah the extra slot is mainly use for independent fog light button like others have stated.

OP GP16 is correct. I dont see why you need an extra switch/button to do that???

Remote sub gain knob for me in that location. I believe the OP only wants to illuminate the rear lights. That can be handy

I did the same. I have to finish cleaning it up a lil still but thats what I used it for.

Thats what I was thinking and wished the existing dome light switch did already. Thats how the accord dome light switch worked and it was a lot better...so you can get in your car with some light but not so much to blind you as you get in. Seriously I don't think ya need 8 lights just to find the seat.
Retro fit a 7th gen switch or whole dome light assembly maybe...

Correct.

Say you are on a trip and your kids are in the back seat and are trying to find something.

I'd like to continue to drive and just push a button and the back dome lights go on while the fronts stay dark.

Its between the Front Dome Lights, it controls whether the lights come on with the doors, but you can press it so the lights are always off or to turn on all the dome lights.
