Bluetooth taking a long time to connect

I used to start the car and bluetooth would connect immediately (icon appears on the center console). Recently, however, it's been taking over ten minutes - not sure exactly how long since I just happen to notice after a while that the icon has appeared. What gives?

Did a bit of research on the module and it appears that when they go bad the overhead console heats up and feels hot to the touch and that the battery drains quickly. I'm not experiencing either of those symptoms.

Me neither but my HFL definitely doesn't work all the time. Electronics get finicky over time and when exposed to heat.
