Bluetooth off button on the car?

My phone, Samsung Stratosphere will not connect with the car, so i just want to use my earpiece. This is where bluetooth chaos ensues as the ear piece, the phone and the car all try to connect to each other with no success. Can i just turn the bluetooth off on the car?

The bluetooth unit is in the roof console with the lights. You can probably just disconnect it up there. Other option might be a fuse, but I doubt there is a fuse just for the bluetooth.

You can unplug the HFL unit in front of the moonroof switch-- it's easy. However, that disables voice commands since the HFL mic is used for voice commands for the Navi and audio systems.

Instead, you can try clearing the HFL/removing your phone from the HFL list so that your phone is no longer detected by the HFL. This would permit you to continue using voice commands for the Navi and audio systems.

Just unpair the phone from your cars bluetooth receiver and it will cure the problem.

Thanks everyone. The best advice was to just unplug it. When I unpair the phone, the HFL keeps picking up the bluetooth signal on my phone going to my ear piece and the car responds:

"the paring process cannot be started from the phone or while the vehicle is in drive.....blah blah"

or something to that effect. I rarely use the voice commands and if i do, its usually to show someone what i can do that their car cant!

My phone doesn't pair properly and I think the bluetooth drains my battery when I don't use the car for a week. Thanks for the info. I'll have to try this myself.
