Blown speaker

Hi there,

I have a blown speaker behind the back seats. I'm pretty sure it's on the passenger side. This is a dumb question, but is their anyway i can be 100% sure it's just that speaker and not the other ones as well?

Thank you

You can try turning up the volume and putting your hand over each speaker to feel that there's air blowing on ur hand from the speaker's voice coil. I did a complete audio system installation in my 04 TL back in may so if you're looking to save cash to replace ur speaker or speakers I have all of the bose stock speakers (except for the center navigation speaker) in storage and I'll be more than happy to get rid of them.

I didn't know that our stock speakers were Bose?

But to test it is easy. turn music on that makes your blown speaker easily sound "blown". Then, check the middle sub, and the opposite rear deck speaker. Done.

Why not use the fader, balance, and sub controls to isolate the problem speaker?

I'm 99% sure they're not. 2G were Bose I believe.
