blackjack with HFL?
im aware that the blackjack is not fully compatible with our HFLs. it works, just doesnt show us how many bars or battery life we have left. but i dont know if my problems are normal.. my HFL normally lags. and i mean LAGS. when someone is calling, i'll press pickup and it will take seconds to pickup.. and THEN another couple seconds for the call to come through. i always have to wait like 3 seconds and then i can say "hello?" and whenever i try to get out of the hfl settings, ill press the end button and it'll get stuck. then i have to press the call then the end buttons to get out of hfl. but today, it got STUCK.. and its still stuck. i took my keys out, and my car is still stuck under "phone". i can hear the speakers on and everything. i dont know whats wrong? i was trying to answer a call and none of the bluetooth buttons worked. i cant get back to radio, cd, anything.. my speakers are tuned into bluetooth and its not even working.. even with the car off! what should i do

I've had that (system lock) happen and I use a Blackjack. The slow answer (Takes a few seconds to actually connect when answering a call) seems to be more general as I had the problem with my Treo 650, too.
As for getting the HFL to get unhung, this is what works for me.
1. Hit the HFL Talk button. If it beeps, it's listening. Say, "Cancel." Generally, this is all I need to do.
2. If that doesn't work, shut off the car. Turn off your phone. Restart the car and see if it's normal again. If not, you may need to take it to the dealer. If it's OK, turn on the phone and it should all work again.
I have not been as happy with my Blackjack as I'd like to be. The Windows Mobile thing seems completely half-baked and the phone's stability is pretty poor. I've had to re-pair so many times it's almost getting to be not worth the trouble.
Good luck with yours.

i experience the same lag in the time it takes for the bluetooth to pick up noise through the speakers. Never froze though when using my blackjack. i've grown used to it since it appears to be the norm with this cell phone

I had 3 blackjacks and the lag is normal. It takes several seconds before someone would hear me. That's one of the reasons I no longer have a blackjack.
I had the HFL lock on me as well. The dealer replaced it and it hasn't locked since.

They did that for me a while back, but I'm running into new problems now anyway. This morning, my HFL dropped out so my call was transfered back to the handset. Unfortunately, the HFL system thought it was still on a call. I couldn't do a thing to get it back for the rest of the drive, so no HFL during this morning's commute ("No phones have been found")
