Blackberry 7250 HFL Problem
I have an 05 TL w/navi and a Verizon Blackberry 7250. I have had my phone paired with my TL for the past 5 months.
A couple of days ago, my HFL system no longer recognized by Blackberry 7250. I tried re-pairing and even cleared the HFL system as directed by HFL Helpdesk. When I get to the point where I must name the phone, the HFL system drops the pairing process. I show the HFL on my blackberry, but for some reason the HFL system did not pair the phones. HFL support says that they have seen this problem recently with Blackberry phones just dropping the HFL link. They have said that some owners like me have been unable to reconnect the phone to the HFL. Has this happened to anyone else???
Any suggestions??? I am in total hell because I have relied on the HFL for so long!!! Please Help!!

Try a couple of things:
1 Remove and replace the battery (not a new battery just a hard reboot) on your 7250
2 When naming your phone use a different name than you did before
This may work, best of luck!!!

I'm using the 7250, as is my friend in his '06 TL. We work together, and are always talking about the "hit or miss" of HFL use. Some problems we've encountered:
Doesn't recognize phone - I've fixed this by removing and replacing the battery; re-pairing; turning bluetotth off/on; and one time it was messed up for a week then miraculously fixed itself.
A more common problem with no fixes that we've noticed is that the 7250 links to HFL, recognizes voice dialing, dials, then reverts back to the phone for voice.
You'll sit in your car waiting for someone to answer, meanwhile the blackberry on your passenger seat has someone saying "hello?" this has happened to me a dozen times, and my friend as well. We've learned to accept this quirk!

Thanks for your tips. I too have had the hit or miss problem that you described. I tried the hard reboot as suggested, and it did not work. Since it is a company phone, my tech guys have offered to look into the problem for me. They said they may need to re-program the phone. I hope it works. Won't know until Monday. Again, thanks!
