BlackBerry 7100t and 7290 HFL "_129" problem
Seems like several people have posted problems with HFL incoming calls using the BlackBerry 7100t and 7290. I can't seem to find any answer.
The MID displays the caller ID properly, but it appends "_129" to the Caller ID. Instead of 8005551212, it appears as 8005551212_129.
I just purchased a 7100t a few days ago, paired it with my 04TL. I have the same "_129" problem.
So I decided to check the Handheld ROM version I was using: 3.8.0.112
I checked the T-Mobile website and the latest version is: 3.8.0.128
I did the ROM update, but it didn't seem to fix the problem.
You can download the ROM here.
Does anyone have a clue on this issue? While everything else functions great, this is the only thing stopping me from saying this phone is spectacular.

rexwui,
Like you I am having the _129 problem. Updating my Blackberry to .128 did not fix the issue. While this does not prevent me from using the phone I would like to find a fix. I have look through the howardforums with no luck. Is anyone else having this problem? Has anyone contacted T-Mobile or RIM? Maybe that is the next step.

The Blackberry support number was difficult to find...
Off their website:
A toll-free line is available to provide technical support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The toll-free number is 1-877-255-2377. You can also email support@blackberry.net.
Maybe if enough of us call them, they will do something about it. I'll give them a call tonight and fill you all in on the results.

Called RIM Support and I was put on hold for over 30 minutes...I gave up.
I called T-Mobile support, and the tech said, (paraphrased)
"I cannot provide Bluetooth support because all cars have different connection results. Bluetooth connectivity results may vary from car to car. Please contact the manufacturer of your vehicle for further assisstance."
Here we go! I imagine, when I finally get to talk to someone at RIM, they will say the same thing.
Call Acura and they say to contact the phone manufacturer if the phone is not listed on their supported devices list.
BOOOOOOOO!

I too have the same problem, even though it's through AT&T. Hopefully there will be a fix soon. By the way, the sound quality isn't that great either compared to my Sony Ericsson T68i. Oh well, it sure beats carrying two phones.

My 7100t does not show the Caller ID on the MID!
I have an 05 TL Navi and Blackberry 7100t with the .128 ROM.
I can make and receive calls, and the battery and signal strength shows on the MID, but incoming calls do not show any caller id. Any ideas?
thanks!

Also, make sure the Blackberry is set to "discoverable" as well. (Settings -> Bluetooth -> Optopms)
Let us know if that works.

Roaming?
Does anyone else with a 7100t have the 'RM' or roaming icon light up on the TL's display? Apparently the TL thinks that I am always roaming. The 7100 never indicates roaming on it's LCD.

GPRS (As defined from the T-Mobile site)
General Packet Radio Service, or GPRS, refers to a new, packet-based wireless communication service that promises data rates from 56 up to 114 Kbps and continuous connection to the Internet for wireless phone and mobile computer users. The higher data rates as well as the "always connected" mode of operation will open the door to many new, non-voice applications and services. GPRS was designed as an enhancement to GSM communications, but will probably be adapted and adopted by at least some network operators using technologies other than GSM.
I hope this answers your question.

Updated
I have updated my BB 7100t to Handheld 4.0 software and it works perfectly now with my 2005 TL. Everything displays properly. I do recommend removing the pairing of the phone on your TL prior to the upgrading your 7100t.
