Best place to buy speakers?

I was looking online today and surfing the web for new speakers for my car. I was planning on getting Infinity Kappa's all around (except for the center dash). I found a site www.electrawarehouse.com that sells the Kappa's for $69.99 and I'm a little unsure of the site cause it seems a little too good to be true, ya know? Has anyone bought from there or knows of a site that sells them cheaper than the Best Buy $124.99 price? Thanks for any help!

the internet? whoa, why didnt i think of that! ...i mean certain sites that people have used in the past. i'd rather a trusted site. ebay and craiglist have shady distributors. I've had bad experiences so i'd like to stay clear of those

crutchfield---bit pricey, but great phone support for the most part
custom shops---nothing like personal service
research---forums like this, magazines, etc---will allow you to make an informed decision wherever you choose to buy.

Try these. Besides their own interent sites these also have stores on ebay.
I have used woofers etc, hifisound connection and darvex before.

http://www.woofersetc.com/

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/

http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/

This place is good for installation stuff

http://www.darvex.com/

Good luck, show us some pics when the project is done

Woofers etc.

Do yourself a favor and don't get the Infinities unless you like ear splitting harsh highs. I ran them for a year.

For the price, I love my Image Dynamics CTX65cs.

I never heard the car infinities but their home speakers have very harsh highs too. Makes my ears hurt.

IDs are a wise choice.

hmm really... i'll have to look into how much they are. The thing is, i have an older set of 2 10" JL subs i'm putting in as well so i sort of want the highs. Obviously nothing that'll make my ears bleed, but i need some good highs to balance out with the aftermarket subs i'm putting in. but thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely look into them!

Ear bleeding harshness and detailed high are diffferent. Ive never actually met anyone that likes the ear bleeding harshness.

If you want to spend 100$ ish, get the CDT classic comps.

If you want to spend 200$ ish, get the ID's.

If you want to spend 400$ ish and want a warm tweet go with the Alpine X pros.

If you want to spend 500$ and want a more detailed tweet, get the CDT 626 with the DRT 26 A's for mid bass or the CDT 0626 with the DRT 26 A's for mid range. If you really like ultra detailed/bright tweets, you can always go with the T's. Id be hesitant to put a ultra bright tweet in the stock tweet location, you are going to have comb filtering.

get ID's from woofers

Get CDTs from www.vertexaudio.com

you can get teh alpine X pros anywhere, lowest Ive seen is like 423 for the set.

Of course, it depends on how much power you have to give.
