Bad RCA Cables?

Ok, I have a JL 1000 powering a W6. A few months ago i took the amp and the sub out while i was working on the suspension of my car. About a week ago i finally decided to throw them back in, but problem is that it doesn't work. The amp turns on but nothing seems to be going through the sub. It's not the sub because I tried it in my fathers car and it works fine. It not the fuse (i even tried changing it just because...) i checked my ground wires and its fine. So my question is could it be the RCA cable going bad or burning out? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, could be. How do you have it hooked up?? Possible that a connection came loose while working?

Will it play if you use some RCA cables from another device - like a headphone to RCA jack from an iPod or mp3 player?

Also, make sure that you did not turn the sub off on the headunit.

Yes , the sub is on in the head unit, and what do you mean by using another rca? as in adapter? or playing iPod or something through the aux plug?
