Backup camera for an 06 TL

I bought my daughter an 02 Civic. I went to a recommended stereo shop to have the radio changed and an alarm put in. I started talking to the owner, we started talking cars. He mentioned that he does a lot of custom work. Told me he could use my navi screen as a backup camera for $500. What do you guys think, is that a fair price? Is it worth it? They did a great job with the civic's radio and alarm, plus I saw some of their other work in the shop, very impressive.

There is a GB going on now for Dom's nav unit and plug-n-play harness for 225 which will get you into the Nav screen.. Just need a camera, for about 100.. That is 325 for a couple of spliced wires and you are in... Depends on how you feel about doing your own mods. There is a DIY in the 3G Garage.....

Plus you have to run power back there, and splice into the backup light... If he is going to warranty it, and it has a good backup camera... 500 may not be that bad..

That's what I was thinking, might be worth it for him to do it.
