backing up DVD-Audio discs
backing up DVD-Audio discs
Hello,
Is there a way to back-up one's collection of DVD-A discs? I would like to keep the original disks at home and use the copy in the car as I'm finding it hard to avoid scratching the discs.
(This very well may have been answered, but I haven't been able to locate through a search.)

No. There aren't any commonly available tools to rip them. At least none I've seen.
Many have a DVD-A has a Dolby Digital encoded version on a DVD-V segment of the disk so they will play on home theater DVD-V players. You could probably rip that but that's not the same as getting what you are after..
