Auxillary input in '04 TL

I don't have an iPod, so iSimple doesn't look too good to me. I've looked around and I'm not really finding anything on how to add an aux input to the headunit.

I'm assuming I have to buy something so if someone could tell me what and possibly point me in the direction of a DIY that'd be great.

Thanks

where is that part supposed to connect to? the USA SPEC PA15-HON3http://usaspec.com/product.php?ProductID=55

can run both ipod and AUX

most likelt what you got connects to either the XM or CD connector in back of the stereo.. if so then tehre are DIYs for the isimple that you can use to connect your device

Ah alright that's really helpful, it doesn't look too hard. Thanks, hopefully this works out.

I don't use any Apple products, so I share your plight. When I asked a few weeks ago, I was shown a version of the iSimple that does what we need it to (using a regular headphone jack, so you can use any non-Apple audio source):

I believe this is the kind of thing you're looking for. I'm buying mine in a few weeks, once I get back from Spring Break.

In order to avoid opening another thread about a damn auxilary jack, I figured I'd ask my question here...

I just purchased an '06 TL and obviously it does not come with an aux jack (added on '07 model)...

So I purchased a Blitzsafe Hon DMX V.2x. My question is...when I go to install this adapter, will I be able to take the passenger side foot panel (side of radio) off and simply unplug the 6CD changer/plug in Blitzsafe from behind the radio? I did this on my '99 TL and was able to unplug/re-plug the Blitzsafe without taking out the entire radio & I hope to do the same with my '06 TL!

On a side note, I did see that someone removed the 'driver side' radio panel as the aux input is on the 'left side' (looking at radio from driver seat) on the back...so I'm hoping there is enough room behind the radio to unplug the cd changer and plug in my blitzsafe without taking the whole center console apart and radio out! Input please!
