I have a 2007 tls and today I plugged my phone in as I normally do before I drive and notice the volume is pretty low. I usually listen to music around 6-8 because 10 is too high for me. But today I put it up to about 40 and it was about as loud as an 8 or so.The weird part is the normal fm radio and xm volume outputs are normal.
I bought a new aux cord and it’s still low. Yes my phone’s volume was on max and I also tried plugging my phone into another car and it worked normally. Any ideas?

 

Could be a damaged connector for the AUX in the center console.

 

Got a new iphone at the time. Fixed by going to settings - sounds & haptics - headphone safety - reduce loud sounds [off]
