AUX Input
For a NON-nav car there is a multi-pin jack on the back of the HU that many vendors sell products for. The jack in a stock car has the XM receiver plugged into it but most aftermarket aux in or ipod units use use this same jack. TO retain XM functions most vendors have a model that will allow you to plug in the XM reciever. Basically unplug the XM, plug in the adaptor, and then plug the XP into a new jack in the adapter.
The NAV car may be similar but I have a non-nav so that's my experience.

Just about all of the units have their quirks so read up good before you buy one. USA-Spec and Blitzsafe are two manufacturers I know if. I have a Blitzsafe. It's works well enough but certainly has quirks.

I've got the USA spec in a navi 04
i'd recommend it, you can control the ipod with the deck or steering wheel controls. hasnt given me a problem for 3 years now (knock on wood) i remember there was a batch of them that would randomly shut off or something, so i'd avoid used if you can

Please correct me if I'm wrong to me the USA Spec seems like the better option since it allows more control over a I-Pod or = allows more I-Pod features on the OEM Non Navi head unit/steering wheel controls that are on the I-Pod with out problems or glitches (like search, play random songs, display the same display info thats basically on the I-Pod on the OEM display) Also can XM be used when a USA Spec gadget is used (not at the exact same time of course but by pushing the XM feature button)
