Auto/Night/Day lighting setting

In my TL, the Auto lighting function for the NAVI is not working. In Auto, it's always in Day mode.

Anyone else having this problem?

You must have your cluster set on MAX. Simply press the < button and dim it one notch...that should fix the problem. It doesn't matter what setting you have the Nav at if you are in MAX mode - it will always be on the DAY setting if you are in MAX.

Note also that you can use the "MAX" button to switch back and forth--for example, if you are driving near dusk when you need your headlights on, but the night-time Navi display is too dark for the lighting conditions, just hit the "MAX" button and full brightness comes on. Then, when it gets darker outside and you want the night display, just hit "MAX" again and it will revert to the automatic setting. "MAX" acts as a toggle in this circumstance.
