Audio System Cutting Out (??)

I have a new 2006 TL. I'm very happy with it, but has exhibited a couple strange problems, the biggest of which is that the audio system seems to cut out (go silent) for no apparent reason. More specifically, when a CD is playing, the NAV unit is off or just displaying the map and HFL is not in use, the CD will mysteriously pause and then resume.

Anyone else see this? Anyone get it fixed?

Thanks.

Any chance you are accidentally bumping the voice button on the steering wheel?

Audio System Strange Behavior

I thought about that and that's not the issue. There is no prompting beep or change on the computer screen, the CD just pauses for a second, then resumes.

Very weird.

Is it just the CD that pauses and resumes or the radio/XM as well? If it's just the CD, possible you were going over a bump or something at the time?

How often does it do this?

Regards

Nope, not a bump for sure. I haven't noticed it with the radio, but I listen to CDs 90% of the time. I'll make a point of check ing it out.

It had occurred to me that it might have something to do with my phone -some extraneous Bluetooth signal or something.

The fact that nobody has come back and said they have had the same problem makes me suspicious that it's my phone.

time for the dealer to swap it out for a new one.. it's unfortunate since they have to disasseble the console and won't be the same when they put it back.. not right for a brand new car
