well, it's funny how I've been learning alot about the TL here on this forum before I actually get one.

BUT.....I want to be able to upgrade my audio system after I get my new TL with navi.
what are the sizes of the speakers in the TL? can I use the stock player to run my amps?

Here's what I have to install for my future TL:
-JL audio 1000.1 amp
-JL audio 300.4 amp
-Boston Pro Series 6.5 components
-JL audio 6x9 3 way speakers
-JL audio 12W7
-1.0 GT digital capacitor
-Optimus Yellow Battery
-SAVV 5" LCD rear view mirror
-Power Acoustik DVD player

Will I lose the 5.1 that TL has to offer if I replace the stock with my setup?
I wanna be able to get the navi screen to be on for my rear view mirror instead and use the stock screen for DVD movies. Is that doable? I know I can get the DOM unit to convert dvds to navi. I truly want to get BETTER sound than stock speakers from what other people have said here.

i know i know....I don't even have a TL yet, I am already planning...

I am going to the dealership today and trade in my car. Hopefully come home with a new auto WDP TL with navi today.

I wanna change my plate to "TL JL". HAHA...

You can find many installs in this forum, just do a quick search.

Couple comments....

6x9s in the rear will mean significant modification to the rear deck -- go with 6.5s (coaxial will do nicely. Rear is just for fill (SPL) unless you do 5.1)

If 300.4 = 300/4 for the JL amp, then you don't need the capacitor its built into the / series amps.

JL 1000/1 and 12W7 are gonna hit hard! You will end up sacrificing a lot of your trunk for it though.

If you are worried about preserving 5.1, then what are you powering your center channel with ?
